Technical notes
What it does
When empty, the control shows an upload button. Once a file is uploaded, it shows a link to the file plus two actions: unlink (clear the field, keep the file) and delete (remove the file from SharePoint and clear the field). It looks like a native Dataverse field.
How it works
- The control calls a Custom API (
jts_UploadSharePointFile). Its plugin finds or creates the record’ssharepointdocumentlocationand asks Microsoft Graph for a resumable upload session. - The browser uploads the file in chunks straight to Graph, bypassing Dataverse and its request-size limits.
- A second Custom API (
jts_FinalizeSharePointUpload) writes the URL onto the column server-side, and the control re-reads it instead of trusting its own response.
Delete and unlink each have their own Custom API too.
Packaging
Everything ships in a single solution: the control, the four Custom APIs, the plugin and the required environment variables. Verified end to end against a real SharePoint site.
